It sounds de-nourishing but it is necessary to refine the oil because it contains impurities such as Moisture, Solids (In solubles), Gums (Lecithin), Free-Fatty Acids (FFA), Waxes, and Compounds of Sodium, Potassium, Magnesium, Calcium, and other metals. These impurities need to be removed to make the oil healthy for us.
M.M. Ghee Mill (Pvt) Ltd. is an edible oil refinery, refining 200 Metric Tons of Canola, Sunflower, Soybean and Palm Oil per day. In addition it has launched and is marketing Cooking oil and Banaspati Ghee under the brand name of ‘Moulvi’.
The mill is located inside Port Qasim in the Edible Oil and Molasses area. The entire plant was built and commissioned in the first quarter of 2013 by Alfa Laval – headquartered in Sweden, specialising in large scale operations of separating solutions with subsidiary companies in more than 35 countries around the world.
The plant is built with state of the art automated technology and is centrally controlled using computers – Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC). It functions as a continuous operation and uses Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems to ensure accuracy to produce premier quality edible oil and banaspati.
In the process of continuous operation the plant, conditions, refines, bleaches and deodorizes the oil at 270˚C – with a further capacity to Refine Bleach and Deodorize at 277˚C.
This is why M.M. Ghee Mill has invested heavily in technology to be able to refine at 270˚C. It is at this temperature that all the impurities are removed and M.M. Ghee Mill (PVT) Ltd is proudly able to provide its consumers with Ultra-Light Cooking Oil under its MOULVI brand.
